We are looking for a qualified CNC programmer to lead a small team in a busy manufacturing environment based in East Tamaki, Auckland. As the CNC Supervisor, you will be responsible for the efficient deployment of 3 CNC mills 3 CNC lathes, and 3 Setter/Operators.


To be successful:

  • Prior Supervisory experience working in a team environment
  • Commitment to planned Job Schedule and completing On Time Delivery of jobs
  • At least 5 years experience in Programming & Setting up of CNC Machining Equipment
  • Experience in use of Fanuc CNC Lathe, CNC Machining Center 3 & 4 Axis, Bar Feed/Pull Mechanisms and Haas mill/turn lathe
  • Be able to program using Fusion 360 Software from ProE, Solidworks or other file formats
  • Strong focus on LEAN, competitive manufacturing and continuous striving to improve machine throughput & reduce cycle times
  • Regular contact with technology and tool suppliers
  • Good communicator - Ensuring that relevant staff are kept informed regarding progress or deviation from the Production Plan or On Time Job Completion
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with the focus to achieve common goals
  • Effective leadership style to co-ordinate and mentor 3 Machine Operators
  • Proactive approach to identify potential issues and prepare contingency plans
  • Able to quickly identify the central or underlying issues in a complex situation
  • Multitask - Can effectively handle several problems or priorities at the same time.
  • Relishes a challenge
  • Wants to be part of a growing company producing value-added product for export around the world
