This permanent full-time role (minimum 30 hours per week) within a vibrant new restaurant is coming to the wonderful North and there is an opportunity to work with the team in creating a celebration of diverse flavours and cultures. We are seeking a talented chef to join in on this journey.
About you
To be successful in this role, you would have:
- A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience or Level 4 qualification in cookery
- Proven track record of doing menu planning, preparation and cooking of food
- Ability to assist with planning menu options and estimating the associated costs for labour and food materials
- Know-how of quality control, to ensure consistency of dishes, from preparation through to final presentation
- Expertise in the enforcement, explanation and understanding of all required hygiene regulations
- Competency and experience in the selection and training of kitchen staff
- Ability to communicate with managers, kitchen and wait staff about any potential food preparation issues
- Aptitude to safely and competently operate both a charcoal grill and teppanyaki grill for food preparation
- A can-do attitude and eager to form part of something truly unique
