Our client is the market leader in new & used materials handling, construction & environmental equipment and has 18 branches throughout New Zealand.

The Dunedin branch is seeking an experienced technician/mechanic to work primarily on forklifts both in the service workshop & out in the field in and around Dunedin.


You will carry out planned and unplanned maintenance, major overhaul and refurbishment work, prepare new and used equipment, and undertake warranty repairs to deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service in an efficient and safe manner.

You will be highly organised, a team player, have a strong attention to detail & love problem solving.

The ideal candidate will also have diagnostic software experience and computer skills - as there is an administration portion to this role. You must be physically fit as the role can be physical at times.



Monday to Fri: 40-45 hours per week (Saturday work available/Flex Hours)

Must have the availability to be oncall when required.

The ideal person will have:

  • 3-4+ years proven mechanical experience (Either in: Material Handling Equipment/Auto Electrical, Diesel or Motor Mechanics)
  • Be a qualified heavy diesel, petrol mechanic or auto electrician
  • Have good diagnostic and problem solving skills, hydraulic and electrical
  • Great customer communication skills
  • Hold a minimum Class 1 Full NZ drivers licence
    Endorsements: Forklift, wheels, tracks, rollers (preferably)
