The Work

We have an opportunity for General Labourers to work with 2 local Sawmills.

We have 6 x Day Shift and 5 x night shift roles on offer for candidates showing a passion for this industry and commitment to the job.

About the Roles:

  • Assisting with production line work.
  • Monitoring and checking the wood for defects.
  • Manually moving lengths of timber products.
  • Wrapping the wood products, labelling and strapping completed product.
  • Medium/ Heavy manual handling involved, need to be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • A person with current forklift tickets, with time spent in the hot seat is desirable, but not a deal breaker.

About you:

  • You are physically fit and injury free.
  • Have a sound work ethic, enthusiastic approach and reliable.
  • Can work well in a team environment.
  • Your own transport, these roles do not suit public transport options.
  • The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Able to work 12 hour shifts.
  • Enjoy working outdoors - no matter the weather.

Must haves:

  • An eligibility to work in New Zealand.
  • Work references.
  • Previous Labourer experience.
