About the role

We are on the lookout for experienced operators to join a refinery team to assist in the refining and deodorising process of product. We're looking for candidates who have a good appreciation of food manufacturing or the food processing industry, but applicants with experience in similar fields are encouraged to apply.

The role encompasses both the manual and automated processing of refining oil. You'll get the opportunity to work with a close-knit team and work on a rostered shift pattern of four days on (12-hour day and night shifts) and then four days off.

Some of the duties include (but are not limited to):

• Operating the Refinery to maximum capacity
  
• Ensuring all products are manufactured to QC1 standards
  
• Operating all utilities including boilers (once trained), air and nitrogen compressors, and heaters
  
• Operating the Fractionation plant

• Decanting and drumming of various raw materials

To be successful, you will:

• Have previous knowledge of control room PLC systems
  
• Be a mature-minded and level-headed team player
  
• Be able to multi-task and work unsupervised
  
• Have a meticulous approach with excellent attention to detail
  
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with other internal teams
  
• Physically fit and injury free - Able to lift 35kg
  
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
  
• Clean criminal history
  
• Rights to work in New Zealand
