My client is seeking an experienced and qualified builder/carpenter for an immediate start with their busy Dunedin team.
As a qualified Builder/Carpenter, you will play a key part in the execution of high-quality residential and commercial building projects, you will take pride in your work and be able to collaborate effectively with team members and sub trades.
This will be an initial fixed term contract (full time hours) with the potential to be taken on indefinitely.
What we're looking for:
- Formal qualifications in carpentry or a related building trade
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a qualified Builder/Carpenter, ideally in residential and commercial construction.
- Strong working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- A positive, collaborative, and safety-focused attitude
MUST hold (at minimum) a restricted drivers licence and have your own reliable transport to get to site.
