Class 2 Delivery Driver and Storeperson

Our client is looking to employ a reliable, organised and responsible person into a delivery driving role. Role will be as a stores person/ delivery driver. The position involves transporting materials and products from a variety of warehousing locations. Forklift work in factory, unloading units of raw products from semi units, checking consignment orders, moving product to stores/ production areas of factor operations (at times also using pallet jacks)

Hours: Maximum of 30 hours per week, variable on days
Between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm

The Role:

  • Picking and packing orders
  • Manual run sheet required to be filled out
  • Computer charge out of orders
  • POD to be scanned
  • Operating a forklift, loading and unloading trucks
  • Driving a Class 2 truck doing deliveries locally, Motueka and Blenheim
  • Ensuring the stock integrity is adhered to, manual counts of products may be required
  • Getting packs ready to send out of town, and liaising with the factory staff to arrange transport of these
  • Liaise with customers at their premises, be a good representative of our company
  • manual handling involved in making up the small packs, the sheets weigh about 40kgs each

You will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Hold a clean full Class 2 Licence with solid experience in driving trucks.
  • Forklift licence and OSH certificate.
  • Good truck loading and stropping skills - you will be responsible for ensuring you are not overloaded or loaded unsafely.
  • Be very aware of health and safety, with a good driving record.
  • Be able and willing to work alone, and the ability to ask for assistance when required.
  • Very good communication.
  • Physically fit.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Clean and tidily presented.
  • You must be able to pass a drug and alcohol pre-empolymetn screen and have a clear Ministry of Justice record.
