Working with scrap metal. Need basic Math knowledge to calculate and assess metal value and document and process paperwork. Work in an outdoor yard using graders and loaders to keep the working space tidy. Loading/unloading trucks manually and using a forklift.
About the role:
- Monday to Friday 7.30am-5.00pm
- Working mostly in an outdoor yard
- Ongoing role with view for a permanent position (for the right person)
- Working with a friendly and supportive team dedicated to health and safety on site
Job duties:
- Receive small loads of scrap metal
- Manual handling of scrap metal will be required
- Calculate and assess metal value
- Document and process paperwork
- Keep yard and receiving shed tidy
- Load and unload trucks manually and with the forklift
Skills and Experience:
- MUST have current W.T.R endorsement - with experience
- MUST have current OSH certification - with experience
- MUST have clean driver's licence
- MUST have experience with heavy machinery and forklift
- Have Math knowledge to do basic assessment of metal and calculate metal worth. Training will be provided
